The Card Monster Team in the Cedar Bluff Shopping Center is hiring a Whatnot streamer!

As a Whatnot Streamer, you will engage with a live audience on the Whatnot platform, hosting streaming sessions to showcase products, interact with viewers, and drive sales. You will need to be personable, enthusiastic, and skilled in building community engagement, creating dynamic content, and ensuring a positive and entertaining experience for viewers.

DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Plan and execute live streaming events on the Whatnot platform.
• Present and demonstrate products (e.g., collectibles, fashion items, electronics) to the live audience.
• Highlight and promote featured products to drive interest and sales during live streams by providing detailed information and insights about each product, including features, benefits, and unique selling points.
• Utilize promotional tactics, such as limited-time offers or exclusive giveaways, to enhance viewer interest.
• Interact with viewers by reading and responding to live chat messages, comments, and questions.
• Build and maintain relationships with the audience by being personable, entertaining, and approachable.
• Maintain a friendly and respectful attitude, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for all viewers.
• Maintain a consistent streaming schedule, ensuring regular interaction with your audience.
• Ensure the technical quality of streams, including video, audio, and lighting.
• Ensure that all necessary equipment (camera, microphone, etc.) is set up and functioning correctly before each stream.
• Accurately track all customer orders and ensure they are properly organized during and after the stream.
• Package and ship customer orders promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner and include the correct items.
• Represent the CM Games/Card Monster Games brand in a professional, enthusiastic, and positive manner.
• Adhere to platform policies, content guidelines, and ethical standards.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Knowledge for the products being featured (Magic the Gathering and/or Pokemon) is a requirement.
• A bright and lively personality, with strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and build rapport with an online audience.
• Basic understanding of video streaming equipment and software.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to handle live audience interaction, product presentation, and order organization simultaneously.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of streaming, product presentation, order tracking, and shipping. Ensure accuracy when processing orders, managing inventory, and interacting with customers.

WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

• Previous experience as an influencer, content creator, or live stream host.
• Familiarity with the Whatnot platform.
• Experience in sales or e-commerce is a plus.
• High School diploma preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The streaming space is equipped with all necessary technology, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and high-speed internet, to ensure optimal broadcast quality. You will be working in close proximity to other team members in a collaborative office setting.
• Regular streaming hours will be scheduled based on team needs and peak audience times.
• The role requires sitting for extended periods while streaming. You may also need to move or adjust equipment for each session.
• You will work closely with other team members. Collaboration and communication are key to ensuring a smooth and successful streaming experience.

Compensation based on experience.
